class VI e-projects and NEC holiday projects

National level selections of best e-projects from each class, top projects from each class will be awarded first, second and third prizes.             
e-project is a learning experience which aims to provide students with the opportunity to synthesize knowledge from various areas of learning, critically, creatively apply it to real life situations. This process enhances students’ knowledge and enables them to acquire skills like communication and independent learning, prepares them for lifelong learning and the challenges ahead.

When to prepare the e-project?
The students should prepare the e-project during the Pongal vacation i.e., from Jan 11th to Jan 20th.
When to demonstrate the e-project?
The students should demonstrate the e-project during Jan 21st to Jan 25th in their allotted slots (Zero Period).
Room allotment for e-projects:
Students should demonstrate the e-projects in the audio-visual room only.
Evaluation of the projects:
The subject HOD’s, Class teachers, Vice Principals, Principals, Programme In charges and Deans and NCO HOD’s are the  judges for evaluating the project.
General guidelines for the students to make best PPT:-
1.            Info gathered by utilizing the websites thoroughly.
2.            Concept development in a sequential order as per the allotted topics.
3.            Usage of simple and lucid language with bold and neat headings.
4.            Creative backdrops with relevant images and selection of beautiful, neat and sober colors for the            slides. Highlight text wherever applicable with different colors.
5.            Consistency of slides, Text: number of lines (minimum) Images (maximum).
6.            Recent advanced info.
3 best projects selected from each Class have to be awarded certificates on Jan 26th.
e projects Selection parameters:
The power point presentation should be within 8-10 slides 15M


Project title 1M
Step wise concept presentation with visuals 12M (Creativity, apt to the concept and minimum text with good visuals is a main criteria for selection. Conclusion with recent advancements. 2M
 Note: Sober colors with clarity in the text and visibility are must.

II. Viva 5M
Body language 1M Confidence 1M.   Students has to present the topic with the utility of tools 3M
Unique projects will be presented for finals.

Note:
1)            Attach the best images to support your PPT.
2)            Sample projects will be uploaded in the Narayana web site for reference.
3)            The instructions should be clearly mentioned in the diary.
4)            A mock demo to be conducted with the students.

HOLIDAY PROJECT FOR HIGHER CLASSES [from the department of soft skills, Narayana English club]

Project: “NEC” HOLIDAY PROJECT [standard VI]
Project Title: “MOM & ME ”.
Project Description: Student and mom spend a day at preferred charity or institution, as in any voluntarily organization, old age home, orphanage homes, free hospitals, Child welfare, women welfare anything with in their reach and interest. Pupil can contribute a pair of clothes, books, balloons, toys, sweets, cookies anything of their interest (old or new but in usable condition). The project is about being socially responsible. We call it as "CSR" CHILD.
SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY.
Project report- Student along with their mother or along with their guardian, their father or friends can accompany, and then make their experiences into a report in the form of a presentation.
The Project Report should be made on the following guidelines.
•             Title: MOM & ME spend a day at ___________
•             Reason for choosing that particular place
•             Experiences at the place
•             Final thoughts and conclusions
•             If you could do something for that place what would you?
Note: Photos of their visit, any videos are most welcome and will be awarded.
Project objective: We are molding, nurturing, making our kids more responsible in terms of their thinking perspective, the basic values, pupil discrimination being right or wrong. , This project will certainly set in right directions and this will add a great value to pupil and to the society. Also it’s a great time spent outdoors with the parents.

Project Presentation date; January 21st to January jan 30th.
Award presentation-On “Sanskriti” school annual day ceremony 2014.
Winning PROJECT:
The winning project will be awarded on the following
1. Project Content (10marks) – The quality of the content and presentation
2. Presentation skills (10marks)- the confidence of students body language and his/her communication skills.
3. Project Impact (10Marks)- The impact of the project on the student himself and others.

These projects will continue in the same manner to bring in the greater responsibility and to instill the instinctive decision making. Pupil must participate, experience and come back with their presentation, should include a lot of observations and ideas. Cheers, let’s make this one eventful holiday for the kids and ensure they are not stuck in front of their T.V sets and I -pads.
